Chief Therapist Amy Bubear (BA Li.Ac MBAcC MFHT) spent four years in college, between 2004-2008, and three further years in university, between 2009-2012, Amy has an extensive list of Qualifications & Accreditations in a wide range of treatments. As well as studying she has been a practising Beauty and Holistic Therapist from 2007 onwards, where she specialises in Deep Tissue/Remedial Massage, and has professional qualifications in Advanced Beauty Therapy, Reflexology , Remedial Massage, Swedish Massage, Aromatherapy Massage and Fitness Instruction. She has recently completed her studies for a degree in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture at the CTA (College of Traditional Acupuncture: Oxford Brookes) in Haseley, Warwick and she is now fully trained, qualified and has a professional degree to practise Acupuncture. The Upperby Retreat
As well as being a member of, and using, the stunning location that is The Rock Park Spa Complimentary Therapy Centre in Llandrindod Wells, Amy Bubear Therapies is now delighted to bring another option for patients who might require a treatment in a less “clinic” and more “homely” environment, this retreat is know as Upperby. A large, customised, treatment room is situated in a 1920s property with a half acre site including herb garden, several lawns, rockery and conservatory, all with ample seating. A treatment at Upperby includes several other perks and the retreat is situated on the edge of Llandrindod Wells. Patients can bring their own relaxing music, or listen to some of the in-house vibes.
